She likes listening to them or making them up in her head, and then acting them out. One day at school her teacher announced that their class would be putting on the play "Peter Pan". Her teacher asked the students what parts they would like to play, and Grace said, Peter Pan. Her classmates told her she couldn't play that part because she was a girl and Peter Pan is a boy. They also said she couldn't be Peter because she was black. When she went home and told her mom and grandma about it they told her they were wrong. Her grandmother even took her to the ballet to see "Romeo and Juliet" where Juliet was played by a black woman. After seeing this Grace thought she could be anyone she wanted to be.
